mixed media class at visual creations

visual creations, a local scrapbooking store in manila held a class using gel mediums (golden) to alter a maya road postal chipboard album.
cabbie lopez and i, design team members of visual creations, did our own version of the album and taught the class the techniques we did.
this is my take on the mini album:

here is a 12x12 layout page i did for the class using masking tape and acrylic paint

it's a boy's life

materials used for this layout- mme and glitz design papers, kaisercraft rub-ons, magic mesh, distress inkpads, corrugated paper, gesso, fabric tag (from the new jeans i bought) and circular glass (for aquarium)

technique - I started by painting over my background paper with gesso then sponged it with a distress inkpad.  I tore 2 patterned papers and sponged all the corners with vintage photo inkpad. I did the same thing with the photos. To add more layers I added some keiser rubons to add  more layers. To finish the layout I added corrugated paper and magic mesh painting it with a little gesso to give it a distrssed look.
